Off The Air Again
Myanmar Radio on 9730kHz was noted off the air on April 24th (2023) around , as I tuned to 9730kHz as per my random monitoring session in the morning(0200utc onwards_.In its place co-channel Voice of Islamic Republic Of Iran(VOIRI) ex Radio Tehran in Pastho (?)audible with fair signal strength from 0223utc onwards.

And later till today i.e.on May 8th..no trace of Myanmar Radio's signal on 9730kHz in the morning(0130-0400utc my random monitoring period).Perhaps I guess all Myanmar Radio transmission on 9730kHz & 5985kHz may be off the air.I will keep close watch on this two frequencies.And even the co-channel VOIRI-Pastho is too weak now during its schedule 0220-0320utc transmission on 9730kHz.
Akashvani Now Only In Place Of All India Radio(AIR):
It has been observed by radio monitors in India (including me on air) during first week of May that most of All India Radio(AIR) Stations..on all platforms are mentioning the station idds in all languages as Akashvani including in English.So, now All India Radio(AIR) will be known as Akashvani only..Thanks to VU2JOS,Hyderabad for his alert message and his detail observations later on this DX India facebook group.
I observed the following..
The English Morning News from 0245utc relayed from Delhi via Akashvani(Ex AIR)Nepali Service transmission on 15410kHz via SPT Bengaluru ..the Idd now Akashvani in English not the previous one..This is All India Radio(AIR)..
Here is the recording of Akashvani Nepali Ext Service 0244utc 15410kHz via SPT Bengaluru 500kW on May 8th..Please note the announcement in English..
AIR Shillong on 864kHz ..the North East News Bulletin in English ..Identification announcement....now ......as Akashvani Shillong...from 0300utc..
and even after the NE News bulletin..the Station Idd announcement perhaps in Khasi Language ..it is Akashvani Shillong....
On May 8th..Akashvani (ex.AIR) Shillong..with Akashvani announcements..

And I guess an official formal information on this change of All India Radio(AIR) to Akashvani in all languages might have been posted somewhere.
Now I have to write in my reports Akashvani(ex.AIR) ..with the same spirit as...the change from Calcutta to Kolkata...Bombay to Mumbai...Madras to Chennai...Bengalore to Bengaluru.....& the list will continue...
It also remind me....the line..from William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet..

Akashvani Nepali Seva...0145-0315utc on 15410kHz..via SPT Bengaluru
It has been observed by me that now it this transmission..in station idd annoucement now often mentioned as Akashvani Nepali Seva (Akashvani Nepali Service)..type not as Akashvani ka Bidesh Seva ka Nepali prasarchan..type announcement ..(Akashvani's external Division's Nepali transmission...)..This the recording of April 24th on 15410kHz from 0829utc onwards just after the English News from Delhi,you can hear the idd just Akashbani but not the usual type..Akashvani ka Bidesh Seva ka ..

and also once I heard on May 6th..station idd ..as Akashvani Kurseong ...before their relay from Delhi for Morning News in Hindi & English from 0230utc for 30 minutes..

It is perhaps due to recent change of production centre of Akashvani's External Service's Nepali program base to Kurseong using facilities of Akashvani Kurseong Centre.
Let me monitor their 2nd transmission from 0900-1030utc too on 15030kHz,11560kHz & 9910kHz.
And it is also to be noted ..I have observed on this frequency of 15410kHz..from 0142utc onwards approx. sometimes Bengali programs of Akashvani on air & around 0145utc the program feed changes to Nepali.

Radio Romania International (RRI)English:
After a long break,this morning i.e.on May 8th,I could hear RRI English with strong signal on 17790kHz around 0307utc...though slightly noisy..splatter from near by broadcasting stations..Here is the recording audio file link:
Special Medium Wave Inputs:
Atleast two Bangladesh Betar(BB) domestic medium wave stations are audbile here in my place loud & with slight usual medium wave noise disturbance still late in the morning..as per my monitoring observations..They are BB Dhaka on 693kHz & BB Rajshahi on 846kHz.And Akashbani Shillong on 864kHz is well heard here now in the morning time.
More observations/reports etc soon.
