Finally, the day has come.The Cosmos Club of Abhayapuri, from shortwhile for now,is going to formally begun its 50th year celebration on its foundation .I guess today(November 25th) is also the foundation day of the club.

As per information written on the banner of Cosmos Club on their 50th anniversary..

The Golden Langur Spotted In Our Campus For The First Time

Two Golden Langur  were spotted in our residence's adjacent wood area(as we in Assamese called Bari), by this blogger all of a sudden on the branches of a tree in the morning.This is for the first time I have spotted Golden Langur in our campus.Many of our campus rushed out to see them.There was quite an excitement in the campus.
They ate something looked like seeds from the fruits of the tree and they exhibited their skill in jumping from one tree to the other.It seems to me they are like other local monkeys, wants to remain high above the tree from their behaviours observed for two or three hours.They remained in the campus for a long time and later during noon,I and my cousin traced them well deep inside the wood above the trees towards our campus's eastern border. In our backside, in Shivpur locality, five or more group of Golden Langur often has been found roaming around as per information received.
I think the Golden Langurs are listed as Endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.And  you can find more about Golden Langur by visiting the link below

And in a few kilometers away from Abhayapuri, in the Kakoijana reserved forest is now known for the habitat for the Golden Langur.

I have taken a few snaps of the two Golden Langur  spotted with my mobile camera without disturbing them.But due to poor quality of my mobile camera, the pictures were not of good quality.Please bear with that.

the audio slightly distorted, difficult to copy

later perhaps around 0827ist(0257utc) heard very signal of a special callsign station..AT2..not copied completely and another station also there but very weak here & that time no trace of the spurious signal.
Monitor's Note:
From time to time, on 7070kHz lsb China Radio International(CRI)'s spurious signal from their broadcast on 41mb on different frequencies was heard for brief period in the morning.Initially,I thought this might be due to the poor quality of my receiver or overloading of my RX due to the use of  long wire antenna etc,but later I received information about  many amateurs of my region even with commercial transreceiver were receiving such spurious signal of CRI transmissions from 41mb broadcasting band that time.This often happens in radio broadcasting band  transmissions due to various reasons.
