For informations of all, Akashvani Goalpara on 102.6MHz and Akashvani Kokrajhar on 102MHz are the two only radio stations now audible with good reception here in my location.

A few Akashvani Medium Wave Logs:
My Respected Senior Radio Friend Prof. Hajong (VU3NVY) from Shillong is now on winter vacation somewhere in the land of rising sun of India & near by areas of Assam, he shared me with video clips of recordings  Akashvani Pashighat on 1060kHz slightly off frequency..actual frequency is 1062kHz on sunday evening perhaps & also Akashvani Itanagar on 675kHz (very noisy reception) & also in the  morning yesterday perhaps the recordings of Akashvani Dibrugrah on 567kHz with noisy reception. The receiver he used is portable Tescun PL310et just with telescopic antenna perhaps. Thanks OM VU3NYV for monitoring and sending all the clips.
Still continuing with Akashvani Medium Wave Station log, after getting the information of Prof. Hajong Sir, I checked the medium wave band here in my place on the sunday i.e.on December 28th...I got excellent reception of Akashvani Pasighat on 1062kHz from 1358utc onwards..here is the audio recorded around 1359utc ...the audio link:

Delayed Dispatch From VU3WTI,Abhayapuri F3E Special........

From Shillong With  OM VU3NYV's F3E Emission  On 145.100kHz
Sunday (21/12/25)
Just 20 minutes or past noon today i.e.21st of the instant, I was alerted by a message from our OM VU3NYV from Shillong that he made QSO with OB VU3FKX from Baihata Chariali on 145.100MHz around 1200ist.As earlier on 27th November at night , OM VU3NYV' signal on F3E mode was received well by OB VU33DS  on his handy at Barpeta. So, why not give a try at Abhayapuri...Loha Garam Hai , Mar Do Hatora....(iron is hot, why not hammer it now).
I contacted OM VU3NYV immediately by phone, and discussed about possibility of a test transmission from his base station  and he immediately gave his consent and I rushed with my Baofeng handy to my cousin's two storied building's  roof ( the base of possible 3rd floor)(30-35ft approx or more) and yes I got his signal loud ....and clearly copied it ..though slightly noisy...at 145.100MHz..though I also transmitted around 5W..he could not copy me at all. It is to be noted the aerial distance from Shillong to Abhayapuri around 146km approx.

At 1249ist 145.100MHz On December 21th...At Abhayapuri

But glad to hear VHF signal from Shillong...on my handy ...I think OM VU3NYV has used his Yaesu FT991A transreceiver with commercial Yagi antenna.
Thanks to OM VU3OKB, OM VU3HZW and our Respected OM VU2XBP, all from Guwahati for their  urge to check & test on 145.100MHz  and above all OM VU3NYV from Shillong for his VHF initiatives.
It's victory for Amateur Radio and experiments associated with it.
Let me share with you some news of VHF activities in Guwahati and Shillong...
In Guwahati, amateurs irrespective of club affiliations  etc are joining on 145.100MHz regularly from 10:00PM onwards for half an hour or so. OM VU3NYV from Shillong with his Yaesu 991A at first with a homebrewed ground plane antenna & later with a commercial Yagi Antenna are joining from Shillong.
The Historic Spark On VHF...A Giant Leap For VHF Amateur Voice Communication In NE Region:
The historic first two way contact ever on VHF between Shillong and  Guwahati on VHF on 145.100MHz was made by VU3NYV(Shillong)  and OM VU2XBP (Kahilipara,Guwahati) on November 23rd from around 21:25 ist from their respective base stations .
And on the following day(November 24th) in the morning around 0652ist VU3NYV from Shilliong made two way contact with VU3TQC & again with VU2XBP with good signal report on 145.100MHz as per information received.

More updates/news/logs etc  on amateur radio from our region soon.

From My Radio Diary...Latest Entries..FM To MW Akashvani The Voice From AIR

 FM Radio Reception :
Reception of FM Broadcasting Stations Here At Abhayapuri..
From August, 2025 or so, only Akashvani Goalpara on 102.6MHz(1kW & aerial distance from Abhayapuri around 20km appprox.) , Akashvani Kokrajhar on 102MHz (10kW & aerial distance from Abhayapuri is )has been heard here at my location at Abhayapuri with good strong signal and good overall reception. For several weeks , Bhutan Broadcasting Service(BBS) on 96MHz  had been weak in signal strength here at my place as per my monitoring.Perhaps some problem in transmission or bad propagation condition, may be the reason for sudden poor quality of reception here.As earlier in all season, BBS on 96MHz had been very satisfactory.
But yesterday, I found its reception quality slightly improved in the morning around 0340utc  but not satisfactory at all and let me monitor it further for a longer period.
On Ist December , also received a few Guwahati based private FM Stations perhaps Radio Mirchi 95MHz & Red FM on 93.5MHz in the morning around 0340utc onwards not though strong in signal strength with my Grundig YB 400 with telescopic antenna fully extended.Let me monitor for a longer period and will post my observation.

A Few Very Latest Development In FM Radio Scene In Guwahati:

Akashvani Shillong Morning North East Bulletin in English An Observation:
On August 6th, while listening to Akashvani Shillong on 864kHz in the morning, I observed that the duration of North East News Bulletin in English had been extended to 10 minutes from 5 minutes. The schedule is from 0300 to 0310utc i.e. from 8:30 to 8:40 AM local time. I understand all regional Akashvani stations of North East India relays this broadcast on their channels on Medium Wave & FM  besides on various online platforms (you tube etc).I heard earlier the broadcast of North East News Bulletin on  Akashvani Guwahati Pragjyotishpur channel on medium wave 1035kHz. Report No.1
7090kHz lsb
0748-0756 ist:
VU3NYV (Shillong) S7-S9 with his Xegu 90 with 15W , inverted V dipole) , VU2DBM (Guwahati) S9 10dB, noise level S1-S2,
Both QSY to VHF 145.100MHz for a test ..
Later got the info that both of them copied each other on VHF too..VU3NYV operating from his Yaesu set which has 2 meter transmission capability , antenna used a Homebrewed ground plane & VU2DBM has his ICOM handy connected to perhaps a commercial Ground plane antenna..
Earlier on the night of November 23rd  around 2125ist onwards..perhaps for the first time in the history of amateur radio communication in the North East India,  VU3NYV from Shillong made a QSO with VU2XBP in Guwahati on 145.100MHz with both operating from their respective base stations.I guess later in the morning of November 23rd too VU3NYV made QSO with VU2XBP.Let me wait for detail reports on VHF communications around Guwahati and from other locations.

OB VU3FEW is a retired offical of health department from Makum ( Tinsukia District of Assam) and active on 20mb & 40mb as observed  by radio amateurs and this was the first time I heard him on air.As far as I could recall,  we had an eyeball at Bonda ,Guwahati in February 2020 during Amateur Radio Society Of Assam(ARSA)'s Annual General Meeting(AGM) .He has a commercial setup (Icom IC 7300 transreceiver).
Lets hear a few moments of audio on 7090kHz lsb around 0814utc on November 11th..
