A Few General Observations, radio loggings etc of radio stations I monitored recently.

Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation(SLBC) Hindi on 11905kHz:
Now-a-days, SLBC External Service's Hindi transmission is audible during its first half of the one hour transmission i.e.0030-0059 on 11905kHz with good to excellent overall reception.But during its 2nd half of the transmission on the same frequency from 0200 to 0230utc nothing is audible.Only weak signal of another station can be heard sometime with noise.

A weak signal of a different station can be heard

All India Radio(AIR) Regional  Shortwave Stations:
From NE Region:
AIR Gangtok is now off the air for many weeks both on 4835 & 6085kHz.AIR Kurseong (4895kHz & 7230kHz )is off the air on shortwave for many months now.AIR Aizawl on both 5050kHz and 7295kHz are off the air for a long time.

And AIR Bhupal on 4810kHz & 7430kHz, AIR Jeypore on 5040kHz,AIR Chennai on 7380kHz & AIR Hyderabad on 7420kHz is audible only on their respective time slot with variable reception quality.On other frequency i.e.AIR Chennai on 4920kHz & AIR Hyderabad on 4800kHz at their respective transmission time schedule is not audible due to heavy co-channel interference.

AIR Leh on 4760kHz:
And during my random aircheck on 1340utc onwards first time from October 10th on 4760kHz I heard AIR Leh transmission with fair to good signal strength.But the audio is slightly rough and difficult to copy sometime.The program is a mix of local language plus relays from AIR Delhi perhaps.

A19 First Week Monitoring Special

Here is my first monitoring report on A19 season beginning March 31,2019.
Due to very bad weather condition i.e.thunders,lightning,storms etc and  electric power disruption plus regular power cuts due to regular maintenance works of power company & road construction projects I could not monitor  the A19 frequencies of different radio stations as such and also post my monitoring observations etc. 

Here is a few radio  monitoring observations I made on April 3rd.

BBC World Service English 
I got encouraging signals of BBCWS English in the afternoon to early evening on various frequencies.
Here is a brief summary.
1030utc 11945kHz (via Kranji,Singapore)
Good Signal
News etc

The reception on the parallel frequencies(1000-1200utc) during  of 9900kHz was fair and 6195kHz was poor.
1158utc 15310kHz (Via Al Seela,Oman,250kW)
Good Signal,slight fading
Signature tune,station idds etc promos..BBC News etc

BBCWS English On Its Unusal 15145kHz (1200-1300utc)
The reception on this unusal frequency of 15145kHz (via Kranji,Singapore) was good.

I also noted more or less good signal  BBCWS English with slight noise  on 12065kHz from 1300utc onwards .

Radio Japan NHK World English: 
1102-1110utc 11695kHz (via Kranji,Singapore 250kW)
Good Signal,slight side band splatter from 11685kHz
News etc
It was after a long break that I could receive NHK World English with such a good signal..though slight side band splatter could be heard from 11685kHz..

Some general obervations On A19 Frequencies..so far
KLNS Alaska via Madagascar World Voice  English is on 15510kHz from 0300 to 0356utc only to India.And the reception has been good as in B18 season.
Radio New Zealand(RNZI) Pacific on English on 5945kHz during 1100 to 1258utc is not audible at all.Sometimes very weak signal can be heard but not sure it is the signal of RNZ Pacific.
Radio Philipinas in English is on 17820kHz,15640kHz & 12010kHz during 0200-0330utc.
