Ext Antenna:Long Wire 75ft L 33ft H .75sq mm copper multi strand wire
end feeded with coaxial cable RG 6 &
connected to RX with a splitter box fitted with a balun.

Heard On Air After a long break:
On August 22nd, after a long break , heard VU3NFF OM Sanjay Gautam from Patna on 7145kHz lsb in the morning ,once a regular on air from Patana on 40m both on 7145kHz and also on 7070kHz.
On October 24th.,VU2EVN.OM Samar Kr. Biswas was heard on air on 7145kHz in the morning this time from Agartala.He was regularly operating from Kolkata earlier but due to change of MQTH and became on air first time from Agartala on 40mb.Later he also joined 7070kHz lsb.
VU2KPH,OM Krisha Prasad Rana,from Muzaffarpur Bihar was heard on air after a long break on 40mb from last week of October for a several weeks in the morning.In fact, he was testing a transreceiver of another ham for several weeks on 40mb and 20mb bands etc.

This was the first time I heard a Pakistani Ham's signal,though signal was very weak as I was listening via ear piece I could copy a few words ...Karchi his callsign parts etc

MONITOR'S NOTE(Khas Tippany):
I was very excited to hear the signal of VU2ABE(AB1F ) OM Abie Alexander operating from Shillong , a one of the senior most ham, perhaps the first ham to be on air from Meghalaya, the North Eastern State of India.He sat for ASOC Exam at Wireless Monitoring Station(WMS),Shillong along with late Ranjit Chaliha(VU2RCH) of Nagaon in 1982.He developed a good friendship with VU2RCH.Now he was a banker by profession and now works in a Missionary Organisation.As info posted on a twitter handle by someonehe will be active from Shillong during November 6-December 18th on 40,20,15 & 10m bands. QSL will be available as per usual processes viz home call,director bureau and he will also upload his logs to eQSL,QRZ etc as per the post

My ham friend VU2OWB, handle Avijit Mandal from Khaspur in Nadia District now is regularly accessing at night Kolkata Repeater BARS Net , aerial distance 130-150km ..may be less..signals from Kolkata also strong as per audio files sent to me.He is using Yaesu base station with diamond ground plane antenna CP22E.

And update from VU2OWB..
VU2OWB from his QTH at Khaspur Nadia District West Bengal heard a Citizen Band(CB) Station calling around 1659ist on
27555kHz usb on the International CB radio calling frequency,very weak signal.And he also heard earlier CB Stations's transmission at his location.
And I later found on the net that 26.285kHz is another such frequency for CB.
Now,I like to share a few amateur radio activities related items with you from November.
Amateurs On Air On The Bank Of The Brahmaputra:
A group of amateur radio operators from Guwahati went for a three days demonostration cum amateur radio expedition from the bank of The Brahmaputra at the Nimati Ghat,Near Jorhat Town in Eastern Assam on November 27th (afternoon) to November 29th (morning) under a NGO program.They were on air mainly on 7070kHz lsb , 7145kHz lsb on 40mb from near total noise free area and operated on battery recharged on solar panel.They had also listening experience on 20mb and 80mb.A detail monitoring reports related to their transmissions etc will be posted separately on my blog.
ASOC Exam arranged by ARSA with help of Royal Global University(RGU) Guwahati:
Amateur Station Operators's Certificate(ASOC) Exam arranged by Amateur Radio Society Of Assam(ARSA) (HQ:Guwahati) was held at RGU,Guwahati Campus near ISBT,Guwahati on November 14th,conducted by Wireless Monitoring Station(WMS),Dibrugarh.And as per statement released from ARSA ,28 candidates appeared in total and amongst them 5 candidates appeared in General Grade and rest of them in Restricted Grade.Also the results was declared within two weeks and 3 candidates who are also restricted grade passed the General Grade Exam and 11 candidates passed the Restricted Grade.And this is the 2nd time that ASOC Exam has been arranged by ARSA and the first ASOC Exam arranged by ARSA was on January 13th of 2019 ,at CINCAD Chandmari,Guwahati.
Monitor's Note:I also sat for that examination for RG Grade and passed the exam.
