Amateurs On Air On The Bank Of The Brahmaputra,Nimati Ghat Year Ending Special 2021 On Amateur Radio IV

A group of amateur radio operators based in  Guwahati , VU3ZRI OM Ritu Mahanta ,VU3YPB, OM Paresh Brahma,VU3TQF OM Ravi Boro and VU3OKB,OM Pintu Sarkar  went for a three days of demonstration cum amateur radio expedition from the bank of The Brahmaputra  at the Nimati Ghat,Near Jorhat Town in Eastern Assam on November 27th (afternoon) to November 29th (morning).They used all homebrewed equipments i.e.transreceiver  a all bands all modes transreceiver self bulit by VU3TQF & he named it fondly RAVIX ,40 BITX with 50W Max linear self built by VU3YPB, the dual band 40m/20m inverted V antenna. 

They were on air mainly on 7070kHz lsb , 7145kHz lsb on 40mb from total noise free environment  and operated on battery power  .They had also listening experience on 20mb and 80mb.And also they on the night did give test call on 80mb on J3E mode and copied VU3OIP from Barpeta faint.VU3OIP also copied their calls from Nimati Ghat faint.I understood they had tested on others modes also.I heard their t  their transmission on 40mb mainly on 7070kHz lsb in the morning, afternoon of November 28th and on the November 29th morning on 7070kHz lsb and very briefly heard on 7145kHz lsb with extremely strong signal strength.And another new amateur radio operator VU2EHJ OM Anupam Saikia from Sarupathar also monitored their transmission on November 28th afternoon with his SDR Receiver and copied all of them from Nimatighat with strong signal.

They made QSO with Guwahati based  Amateur Stations viz.VU3XBP VU2DBM and Titabar based Amateur Station VU3WTS OM Bimal Chutia and he also visited the site of their camp and boosted their spirit of amateur radio expedition on November 27th late in the afternoon.They also contacted VU3HZT ,)OM Vijay Sonam in Naharlagun,Arunachal Pradesh ,now the only active HF amateur radio operator in the state and exchanged report with him on air.On 7145kHz lsb,I heard VU3TQF & VU3OKB made brief QSO with VU2FRD from Bhubaneswar etc .

And interesting part of the this expedition in Nimatighat  on the concluding morning i.e.on November 29th..VU3TQF with his RAVIX made QSO with VU3OIP in Barpeta on 7070kHz and this is the best AM mode transmission of two amateur stations heard so far.Perhaps ideal location free from obstructions from the bank of the Brahmaputra might be the reason of such a good signal from Nimatighat with around 50W power.
