*AT8BRS is a special callsign amateur radio station, operated by amateurs of Bengal Amateur Radio Society (BARS), Kolkata to mark activation of Gobardhanpur Island (Island On The Air-IOTA)on the occasion of World Amateur Radio Day (on 18th April) effective during April 15-19th of 2026.
As per post on social media platforms , AT8BRS is going to be active on SSB/FT8 on 40/20/15/10 mb amateur bands.

G-Plot and Gobardhanpur is referred to as the same location.Gobardhanpur is a village located in G-Plot Island.It is situated near the confluence of the Hooghly River & Bay Of Bengal (in the Sundarban Delta,).It is famous for approximately 15km long beach plus its dense Jhaubon (casuarina) forest & red crabs.
