On The International Marconi Day This Morning On 7145kHz lsb

Today is the International Marconi Day. It is an annual 24 hour amateur radio event  held on the saturday closed to the April 25th , the brith day of Guglielmo Marconi in 1874, the inventor/father  of the Radio. It has been organised by  Cornish Radio Amateur Club,UK since 1988. It is being celebrated to honour the pioneering  achievements of Guglielmo Marconi in the field of long distance radio transmission( the first  transatlantic radio signal in 1901 from Poldhu, Cornwall in England to St.John's, Newfoundland in Canada)  & his Nobel Prize in Physics for Wirless Telegraphy Development in 1909.On this day amateur radio operators try to contact special amateur radio stations active on various historic sites related to Marconi such as Cornish in UK & others worldwide.
You can check on the internet for more detail information on International Marconi Day & the life and works of Guglielmo Marconi plus  various historical sites around the world related to Marconi.
