In April 1988 Edition Of A Very Popular Bengali Magazine there were many articles on Bihu & Assamese Culture written by well known Assamese persons from various fields & several reports....and ads from Govt Of Assam's various departments in Assamese plus ads from various private business organisations..One such is from Philips...in Assamese. Yesterday I found the magazine from my mother's collection...And as we are still in Bohag Month ...and celebrating Rongali Bihu...formally in functions..around Assam...and its right time to share the ad.

AIR Urdu Service Update
All India Radio(AIR)'s Urdu Service was noted again this morning i.e.April 3rd(of 2018) on 6140kHz & 7340kHz as per my several aircheck from 0105utc.The reception was far better on 6140kHz.It was not heard on 9620kHz this morning.

Here is a brief summary of a few overseas radio stations I heard on April 1st,2nd & 3rd of 2018 at my QTH,Abhayapuri.

Radio New Zealand International(RNZI) English 1140utc onwards 7425kHz fair to poor Noisy Signal Sideband Splatters etc.
Reach Beyond Australia in Nagamese 1208utc 9685kHz Signal was fair but QRM as a form of sideband splatter was there & difficult to copy the audio contents sometimes.
Radio Japan Bengali 1300utc onwards 11685kHz Good SIGS with slight noise & fading News & Sunday Mailbag Program Katha O Sur was aired.
RVA-Bengali 1400utc onwards 11880kHz Good Signal Opening announcements.message on the occasion of Easter (as far as I could recall).
Adventist World Radio(AWR)-Assamese was heard with good signal though slight QRM was there on 9955kHz (Via Tashkent) from 1330utc.

Adventist Word Radio Wavescan Reception:
AWR Wavescan heard with good SIGS on 9580kHz via TRM SLBC from 1600utc
There was slight sideband splatter from a station broadcasting on 9570kHz.There was interesting features and informations aired on this edition of Wavescan. And here is such an information...One & Only The Great AMP will be back with Radio Memories...Live

And nothing was audible here on 11950kHz on the parallel frequency (1600utc) via Bulgaria relay.
Also earlier very weak signal of AWR Wavescan was heard from Nauen on 15670kHz ..1530utc onwards here in my location.
A special note:
Surprisingly today I didn't find signal of Bangladesh Betar Domestic Service Relay on shortwave on 4750kHz during several aircheck in the evening.
Date:April 2,2018:
SLBC Hindi Service on 11905kHz was heard with fair Signal with slightly distorted audio plus noise etc during 0130-0230utc.
KNLS Alaska English via MWV 0259utc onwards on 15515kHz was heard with good signal.

Earlier heard good signal with slight fading KNLS Alaska English via MWV on 9600utc during 0200-0256utc during several airchecks.But slight hum type noise plus traces of co-channel station's signal could be heard in the background.
Radio Taiwan International English was heard with very weak signal on 15320kHz from 0303utc onwards.
Also nothing audible of Radio Romania International English Service on 11825kHz during 0300-0356utc.

Here is a few radio monitoring observations on April 1,2018 at my QTH at Abhayapuri of All India Radio (AIR) Stations on shortwave.

AIR Urdu On 9620kHz:
AIR Urdu Service was heard on 9620kHz with good signal in the morning.Jose Jacob(VU2JOS) from Hyderabad observed (In DX India Yahoo Groups) earlier about this frequency shift of AIR Urdu Service instead of its normal 6140kHz.

An Observation Of AIR on 7270kHz Via Chennai(?):
As per my observation(though I'm not an expert on the field), its transmission is perhaps slighly distorted as observed this morning from 0130utc onwards.And also on 40mb Amateur band on 7145kHz LSB where a regular Amateur Radio Net takes place in the morning .while listening to the hamnet this morning I also found distorted sideband splatter type audio on & around 7145.And later two Amateur Radio Operators ,were on the net,also discussed about the QRM on the band.And previously also All India Radio Transmitter's spurous transmission was heard out of band and I did again an aircheck on 7270kHz around 0225utc onwards with slightly distorted audio and I observed this AIR station broadcasting on 7270kHz might be the cause of splatter..QRM...due to spurous transmission from the transmitter. Let me discuss with experts about this and also observe this for a few days.
From A3E Emission From The Scotland Of East:
AIR-Shillong 4970kHz 1344utc Good Signal Mukesh's Song Mere Juta Hai Japani ..followed by lady presenter talked about Raj Kapoor's relation with Nargis..Raj Kapoor's own voice was aired.

AIR-Gangtok With Severe QRM Again:
AIR-Gangtok was noted with good signal in the morning on 4835kHz.But later in the evening during my aircheck,I heard AIR-Gangtok with strong hum type noise on 4835kHz.Its from several weeks now sometimes strong hum type noise is noted with AIR-Gangtok signal & then again next day or after sometime noise is not there the audio becomes clear.I wonder whether it is due to technical problem in the transmitter or else.

Some Other Obervations On AIR Stations On Shortwave:
AIR Vividh Bharati was noted with good strong signal throughout the sunday evening on 9865kHz.I heard the Comedy show Hawa Mahal (1430-1444utc)...the drama named Muje Malum Nehi..was aired & it was produced by a regional station of AIR.
AIR Chennai was noted with South Indian Classical song on 4920kHz around 1444utc with good signal but co-channel QRM from Regional Station of China was there but not very strong.
Still no trace of AIR-Kurseong on 4895kHz & AIR-Aizawl on 5050kHz.
Surprisingly today I didn't find signal of Bangladesh Betar Domestic Service Relay on shortwave at 4750kHz during aircheck in the evening.
