Monitor's Note✂✂✂✂
The rag chewing informal net on 7070kHz lsb , where mainly  amateurs of ARSA( Amateur Radio Society of Assam) plus other amateurs from Assam &  amateurs from other North Eastern states of India, .Eastern India , Nepal , Bangladesh also joins for rag chewing from time to time. The frequency 7070kHz lsb at first suggested by VU2RCH Late Ranjit Chaliha from Nagaon(He was the first Assamese amateur radio operator to be on air from Assam in 1983) for a common QSO point of amateurs of Amateur Radio Society Of Assam(ARSA).SK VU2RCH suggested another alternative frequency 7067kHz lsb in case of any QRM/QRN on this frequency of 7070kHz lsb for use.And it was also used on a few occasions as per my monitoring.Initially ,VU2RCH ,VU3XBP,VU3YPB ,VU3YPK & VU2XJT joined regularly on the QSO.Later VU2PTF from Tinsukia  & VU2DBM joined regularly.VU2TUO operating the APRO(Assam Police Radio Organisation) Club Amateur Radio Station  VU2VKP,the only club amateur radio station in Assam also joined 7070kHz lsb and added a new dimension to 7070kHz.And gradually many amateurs from Eastern India plus other parts of the North East  and  even Bangladesh & Nepal  has begun joining 7070kHz lsb and exchange reports with amateurs from Assam. And many has got licenses now from Assam  and a few of them has come on air and others are likely to join soon.I hope 7070kHz lsb will remain as the common meeting point of all.Now it is time for all to name this informal rag chewing net to a formal status by naming it RCH Net to honour the first Assamese  Amateur Radio Operator to be on air from Assam.I hope a decision will be taken on it soon.Let it be remained as rag chewing net with suitable arrangements and on special occasions, it can be break and check net with net controllers.

More reports,observations etc soon.
