Monitor's Note On Morning 40mb Noise QRN or QRM?
From time to time on 40mb band in the morning , I hear heavy noise and it is sometime difficult to copy any stations.Take the case of March 16th.
40mb and was noisy here right from the morning on nothing audible as such due to heavy noise..and there was no electric  energy Mains  supply from the APDCL..Electric Energy Provider ..from early  morning due to breaking of electric post.....but still noise washeavy..that means it was band noise not electric...noise..QRM and it was QRN .I  also disconnected our inverter  and ...total electric silence..still..the band was noisy on 40mb.I was finding it difficult to copy on 7070kHz lsb VU3HZW from Guwahati and VU3HZT from Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh earlier in the morning. But on 10MHz  14MHz ..& 15MHz bands...little noise ..and on broadcasting bands even medium wave bands, I was copying broadcasting stations comfortably.
One thing also came to my notice in the evening, sometime  even inverters , lights etc on I can copy 40mb amateur stations comfortably.
So, it is now clear to me beyond doubt the noise now on 40mb in the morning is band noise ..atmospheric ..
For new comers to this hobby , QRN means a short term to describe natural noise like band noise atmospheric noise like lightning ,solar stroms etc  and QRM means man made noise radio frequency interference  ..(noise) generated consumer electronics goods ,powerlines etc.
