Monitor's Note:

The Native Frequency 7070kHz as I fondly call it as on this frequency where usually ham members of Amateur Radio Society of Assam(ARSA) make QSO in the morning.And it was first decided after series of several tests in 2015-16,I think.And SK VU2RCH had suggested another alternative frequency for the morning net and it was 7067kHz lsb and any QRM/QRN was there.Though,it was rarely used.On 7070kHz lsb hams from Eastern India region,Bangladesh & Nepal, Arunachal Pradesh ..now the only active amateur station from Naharlagun VU3HZT,OB Vijay Sonam also joins from time to time.Yesterday i.e. November 24th, VU2ABE(AB1F) ,OM Abie Alexander from Shillong also joined on 7070kHz lsb in the morning.And as per info posted on a twitter handle,he will be active from Shillong during November 6-December 18th on 40,20,15 & 10m bands. QSL will be available  as per usual processes viz home call,director bureau and he will also upload his logs to eQSL,QRZ etc as per the post.VU2ABE sat for the ASOC Exam in Shillong with our SK VU2RCH Late Ranjit Chaliha from Nagaon in 1982.He developed close friendship with SK VU2RCH.After his death on a road accident in November ,2018, VU2ABE paid glowing tribute to SK VU2RCH.

Later one to one to QSO between VU2FRD & VU2KPH....both 59...upto 0904(0334utc) on technical matters with slight QSB(fading) sometime

First Day First Report for B21 Season On Radio Japan NHK World A Few Observations

Here is a few monitoring observations of Radio Japan NHK World Bengali,Hindi & Urdu Transmission on new frequencies on the very first day i.e. of October 31st of B21 season (winter) of international broadcasting.

Signal strength was good intitally later weakened slightly,audio intensity audio (  low modulation  as the case of Tashkent transmission),slight noise,fading was there as transmission progressed,slight ..very weak sideband splatter  as source of interference

Good signal strength,side band splatter slight as a source of interference from a radio station broadcasting on 9585kHz,overall reception was good

1.AWR English Wavescan Program,The Global DX Program  

   Updated Corrected Monitored   B21 Schedule 

As per information posted earlier, the schedule of AWR Wavescan Program for B21 Season (effective October 31,2021 to March 26,2022) as announced on Wavescan Program for October 24th  was wrong partially as monitored on October 31st.

Here is the correct version of the schedule as monitored by me  and also as per official shortwave schedule of AWR Frequency Management Office ,Germany released on October 30th & other radio databases found on the internet.

Adventist World Radio  Wavescan The Global DX Program

(On Sundays Only)

1530-1600utc on 15530kHz 

1600-1630utc on 12040kHz 

2200-2230utc on 12040kHz 

All transmissions are via  KSDA ,Agat-Guam(100kW)

2.My Monitoring Observations On October 31st..the very first Day of B21 Season ..

AWR English Wavescan ,the Global DX Program

1530-1559utc 15530kHz via  KSDA-Agat, Guam (100kW)

Good signal strength,overall reception was good

Station Idd etc announcement of KSDA Guam,Wavescan Program follows-feature radio story from Caribean,ancient DX Report,Indian DX Report.usual closing announcement ,Music

The transmission was initially announced to be transmitted from Trincomalee,Sri Lanka.

And on 15615kHz during 1530-1600utc  in place of Wavescan program as announced earlier perhaps Gujrati language of AWR was on air as checked by me for a brief period and later confirmed by checking the AWR schedule.

1600-1629utc  12040kHz via  KSDA-Agat, Guam (100kW)

Good Signal Strength,slight fading ,overall reception good

And on 17730kHz via Madagascar during 1600-1630utc instead of previously announced Wavescan Program, a different Indian language program was on air and later it was confirmed it was Marathi Language Program.

I did not check the 2200-2230utc on 12040kHz transmission.Hope it is as per announced schedule.

2.AWR Assamese 

15530kHz 1330utc for a few minutes  via-Agat, Guam (100kW)

Station Idd etc announcement of KSDA Guam etc,music,opening announcements in Assamese about Station-frequency etc etc,a Christian song in Assamese aired
