All India Radio(AIR) North East Update

Here is a few very latest monitoring observations by me.

RX:Grundig Yacht Boy 400 
ANT:Cu WIRE 78' Length 30' Height With COAX LEAD IN

All India Radio(AIR) Gangtok On 4835kHz:
As it was observed previously that All India Radio(AIR) Gangtok on 4835kHz sometime heard with severe hum type noise along with distorted audio due to possible  faulty transmitter parts.But for several weeks as observed my me both during morning hours (i.e.0100-0330utc and also in the evening hours(i.e.1130utc onwards) during my random airchecks on 4835kHz I've found good signal of AIR Gangtok free from any disturbance and have been noted with good audio quality. I was about to post about this latest observation...
But around 1350utc in the evening of July 27th (2018) during an aircheck on AIR Gangtok I found severe hum noise and the signal couldn't be copied at all.

However later during another aircheck at 1453utc , I heard AIR-Gangtok without any hum and with clear audio.And Nepali song was on air that time.
Let me observe  AIR-Gangtok on 4835kHz for sometime.

On Other AIR Regional Shortwave Stations :
It is now the only the 2nd shortwave regional station on air of AIR from the North East Region Of India and the most powerful...And the other one is AIR's North Eastern Service from Shillong..(i.e AIR-Shillong on 4970kHz-morning-evening & 7315kHz- day).But AIR-Shillong's signal often suffers from low intensity audio. i.e.perhaps low modulation level plus slighly rough audio..And sometimes remains off the air for several hours.It was not heard  on July 27th (2018) as per my several airchecks on 4970kHz both in the morning & evening.
And still no trace of signal of AIR-Aizawl on 5050kHz & 7295kHz. And also AIR-Kurseong is still of the air on both 4895kHz & 7230kHz.

AIR Srinagar 4950kHz Plus A Few Observations

AIR(All India Radio) Srinagar 4950kHz On November 8,2017:
Rx:GDYB 400 ANT:30ft plus long & 20 plus height of copper wire with co-axial lead in
Place Of Monitoring:Abhayapuri
Program Details Heard:0058utc:Signature Tune Of AIR,0100utc: Bande Matorom,announcement of Station Idd..date,freq..etc..by Male Announcer..(Sabbir perhaps)..0101utc flute tune..Sehnai recital.
SINPO:34(?)433 
Technical comment:QSA was fair,slight distorted audio of a station could be heard ..not sure whether it was another station..slight noise..QSB was there..overall fair.. during voice transmission audio quality was slight rough .slightly difficult to copy

Special Note:
I heard this station on the previous morning also but was not sure it was AIR Srinagar..or different radio station.Also as per info in the AIR Printing skd of summer..AIR Srinagar goes on air from 0025utc on 4950 kHz..perhaps its late signing on due to winter season of broadcast skd change.

A Few Others Observations:
As happening for past several months..AIR-Aizawl is still off the air on 5050kHz..along with AIR-Kurseong on 4895kHz...& for past several days I'm also unable to listen to AIR-Portblair on 4760kHz.

Reception Updates on All India Radio(AIR) Stations From The North East

I like to share the following monitoring observations.
AIR-Aziwal & AIR-Shillong(North Eastern Service)  was both back on air on their respective frequencies this morning i.e.January 7th.

AIR-Aziwal on 5050kHz:
Though at the very beginning AIR-Aziwal was facing co-channel interference from Chinese Radio Station as I noted during 0036UTC my first aircheck this morning & later in the morning I heard good & clear signal of AIR-Aziwal on 5050kHz at 0058UTC with Mizo Song.

0155UTC:Talk in English by a lady on role of NGO in rural developement etc,Program Reminder plus station Reminder announcement by a lady in Mizo Language ,Promos

The signal was good,slight to no fading,no interference & overall reception was good.

AIR-Shillong on 4970kHz:
AIR-Shiilong on 4970kHz was received with fair signal strength from 0037UTC during my first aircheck.
Here is brief summary of what I heard
0037 to 0042UTC:News in English read by lady relayed from AIR-Delhi
0040UTC:Station Idd etc announcement in Hindi by lady,Thought of the day(?),music-devotional song aired
SINPO:35443
 Again from 0131UTC:Male presenter with lots of updates on current affairs from North Eastern States- Meghalaya,Manipur,Tripura,Nagaland,Arunachal Pradesh & Sikkim & a review of sort of 2016 under Focus on North East
0141UTC:Male talked about next program..Learning Hindi,Learning Hindi followed.
The signal gained strength during this monitoring period
SINPO:45434 (with slight Hum)(slight to occasional moderate fading)
